What happened to the update that was suppose to come out a week ago? When is the new date of arrival?
It was never supposed to come out last week. A skin pack came out last week. The last 4J has said about 1.8.2 is there is still many weeks of work left.
What happened to it? Rumor has it that they're making it and that everyone needs to be patient... Not sure how often I can trust rumors on this forum though...
"Many weeks away" sounds like at least a month or two to me. But as long as we get it with as few bugs as possible, I'm willing to wait. It's not like MC360 isn't tons of fun as it is right now.

Well, considering that the folks at 4J have to work to change the coding, fix bugs, test new ones, sleep, eat, drink, go to work, relax, take breaks, and repeat... it will take about 1-2 months.
Now, calm down and sit back on your chair with some chocolate bars, orange soda, and deodorant in hand.

I don't think they realized how massive the 1.8 update is and how much stuff they have to cram into the game. 1,8 was a huge leap, from new mobs, to the whole "Adventure Update", as well as a whole Biome overhaul.
Give it some time. It'll come when it's finished. Gotta be patient.
where the hell do you guys get this information?? this has to be the 5th topic or so ive seen in the past couple days about the 1.8 update coming out within a week or a few days or whatever ridiculously short amount of time it may be from the time of the topic being made and it really cant be THAT hard to find an official source about the release date (there isn't one yet, btw). this is getting ridiuclous!
We should have a stickied thread or something titled "ALL FUTURE UPDATE RELEASE DATE INFORMATION HERE" that has any and all official statements from 4J that even vaguely mention anything about the next update being released

It honestly doesn't matter how many pinned threads there are at the top of the forum. People will continue to skip them and post every single thought and question that comes to their minds. Just like they already do.

There has not been a confirmed date on the release of the update. Also we will most likely get a date when they send it into Microsoft for test then get the exact date from @PlayXBLA . But the update is still being worked on and they are bringing some things forward. So you just need to wait untill September and we will probaly get more news then.

Exactly, it is not like they can just port the update over, the program minecraft runs on the PC and XBOX are different.
They have to recode EVERYTHING, not to mention the fact that they are adding super flat worlds from a later update, so it adds time. Then they may add breeding and/or enchanting, which may add more time.

it was not supposed to come out at all they are still working on it and probably wont be out for a few more months i dont know where the **** you get your info but its a terrible source apparently

Retired StaffEDIT: I've done some more research, and on August 24th, 4J Studios said that 1.8.2 is still many weeks away.
My guess right now is late September, early October.
Don't count on it, I wouldn't go any lower than October.
