So I've been using quite a few pistons on my world recently, and I'm rather afraid that I'm going to run into issues with all of them...
I'm not sure how big chunks are, but I'm fairly certain my farm is far enough away from my Zipper Elevator, but I want to make sure I don't crash it.
--Main area: 78 Pistons.
-Zipper Elevator with 72 inactivate pistons, 12 active at one time when it receives a pulse.
-3 Double Iron Door gates with T-Flip Flops utilizing 6 pistons (2 each). 1 always active and 1 activating when pulsed.
--Farming Area: 149 Pistons
-2 Mushroom farms with one piston as a water gate for each. Both are always activate.
-1 Wheat farm with 6 Pistons as water gates. All 6 are always active.
-2 Double Iron Door gates with T-Flip Flops utilizing 4 Pistons (2 each). 1 always active and 1 activating when pulsed.
-Item Elevator utilizing 8 pistons. Off unless pulsed, in which they move on and off in an irregular sequence.
-AND Gate utilizing 1 piston. Off unless activated for the item elevator.
-Four Sugercane farms with 128 pistons (32 per farm). Always off unless pulsed. One set of 64 is active at the same time and then the second set of 64 activates right after the first set retracts. (Only 64 will ever be active at the same time).
You can see why I'm worried, anyone have some advice? :/
On the PC, chunks are 16x16x128 (at our current version). If the Xbox 360 Edition follows suit, it would be the same.
I have no idea if there is an active piston limit. Though I'm sure there is a point where having to many on at one time will crash your game.
Well I meant a limit to the amount of active pistons the xbox could handle. I do remember hearing a number, but I don't remember what it is. Anyway, I haven't run into any issues, so hopefully I never will.
Not sure about the piston limit but I would love to see your world. It sounds great and
I'm interested in trying to improve my (very basic) redstone skills.

The number that got thrown around I last saw was 60 pistons active at once crashes an Xbox. I haven't exclusively tried although I have spammed friends worlds with tons of pistons on a clock for annoyance purposes. Didn't really lag much with atleast 20-30 pistons on a 5-6 tick clock.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
If anyone wants to play Bauldur's Gate (1, 2, or enhanced) or Icewind Dale PLEASE PM me. I'd like to play.

Well I run a max of 80 or so active at once at my farm while on multiplayer and it hasn't caused any issues at all.
And if you'd like a tour of my world just shoot me a FR and tell me you want to see it
