Have you ran a map for days on end or just over the weekend and had problems with the auto saving? I myself have a xbox that sits in the corner of my room and runs weeks on end with no faults.
The auto save is a problem a lot of people are having with running weekend games or trying to run a map all the time. I have found that the problem with the auto save is that if the map admin is using a wireless controller and it turns off due to being idle the auto save will not work until the controller is turned back on and the game menu is closed. The only way i have found around this is to us a wired controller for the admin witch will not turn off ever and will allow the auto save to work normally.
Caution. If you have planes on running a map for a long time i would suggest that you only run it for about 3 to 4 days before at least turning the game off for a moment and then relaunching the game. i have found that the longer the game is running that other players will slowly experience lag in there game and it affects red stone repeaters as they will delay longer then intended.
I personally have a xbox that i run minecraft on for my friend and I 24/7 as we all work different shifts and live across the country.
There is two ways to auto save with wireless controller. The issue is the game will not auto save on pause/options menu. Which it takes you to when the controller turns off.
1. Use play and charge cable always plugged in.
2. Die because on the respawn screen it will still auto save. Just leave it on the respawn screen.
Don't have to worry about that. Its an original xenon running two intake fans and two exhaust fans. Stays cooler then my Jasper.
Thats not the point, its just simply not made to function that long. He wasn't talking about the overheating necessarily, I'd worry that my Xbox would explode after 24 hours on.
Was not aware about the death screen not stopping it from auto saving... and as far as my xbox running all the time, its one that i normally dont us as i have three at the moment. I think the longest i have left it on is two weeks straight...
