I have a modern style house with a glass front entrance.
I REALLY want a piston door so I can keep it solid glass, but so far, every piston door I have found opens from the side.
I REALLY can't see it being that hard for a resdstone expert to help me design a 2x2 piston door with all the mechanics hidden in the floor?
I know I would need double piston extenders, and I THINK block swappers, but I really do think it can be done.
I have a VERY basic understanding of redstone. I can watch a tutorial on YouTube and build anything, and I TRY to learn as I go, so my knowledge is growing. But I haven't been able to find a door like this to follow, so I am reaching out to you guys.
If somebody knows how, or has some tips, PLEASE post here.

A 2x2 door surrounded by glass can't be hidden. Since a double extender will only help you push a block one more space, not move more then one block, that won't work. Your only choice is to have two stickies on top and two on the bottom.
There could be a way to make it so that a single sticky grabs the bottom glass block and a double extender grabs the top one and pulls it down for the first sticky to grab, but that would be insanely difficult to set up as well as there not being any way I can think of to reset the blocks perfectly...
Anyway, I can show you how to make the 2x2 coming from the top and bottom but thats it.
