So I recently got my Facebook account working all proper and am able to take screenshots. I'd like to get some feedback on my build. This is my first real build and I work on it solely by myself. All of it was created and built without using the duping bug. So please take a look and tell me what you think and where I could make changes/improvement. Thanks.

P.S I did name the world Winterhold Keep without realizing that was the name of a castle from Skyrim. Still keeping it though.

I started it on June 13th. Finished the castle a few weeks ago.

There is a lot of great stuff in there. What are the glass panels in the grass? I like the pumpkin on the obsidian throne haha. Nice build, great use of materials and space. I do like how its planned out well inside and out and saw a few good ideas I may use like the signs as cabinet doors. Pretty clever.

The glass panels are covering blocks of lava. It was an experiment to keep the snow melted. Works great and lights up the area well. I just haven't decided to keep it in and finish the whole area or remove them.

I know what you mean. They are actually 2 block thick walls on those so I could trim them down a block. Not sure if it would help though.

bit dark in some areas though, by the looks of it your swimming pool in particular may occasionally spawn hostile mobs.

Actually no. With the halfblocks there is no blocks for them to spawn on in that room.

Great idea! Can see that its working pretty well. Did you see if it would work with dirt over the lava block instead of grass?

I meant glass, not grass. My bad.

I tried dirt over lava but it doesn't melt as big of an area. It melts less than a torch that way. Actually the lava+glass surrounded by cobblestone melts a smaller area than the lava+glass surrounded by dirt. Not sure why.

I'll have to play around with that on my world, I have a fortress near a snow covered area too. Again, great build! Thanks for sharing.

There's no monsters that spawn inside the walls actually. It's brighter lit than it looks.
