I logged in for the first time in a week, loaded my world (since May 18) and hung entire xbox when a friend notification appeared while breaking a sign reminding me what to do next.

Disabled notifications per a video, loaded, broke sign, turned to bed, slept, hang.

Repeat, then post here.

Each time MC hangs, the entire Xbox hangs and I have to do a hard reboot. No other game has done this to my Xbox.

Any ideas?

Stay offline (to eliminate networking as a possible culprit). If that won't help, start a new world, and see if that works. If it still hangs, move your world to a memory stick, and start a new world on the HDD. The goal is to see if your world file is the culprit. If it hangs even without your save file present, then it must be corruption of the game itself. Clear your cache and redownload update. Still hangs? Delete game file and redownload from XBLA. After that, I'm out of ideas. Make sure your box still works OK with other games.

I cleared my cache, redownloaded the update, no crash. If it crashes again, I'll post here.
