It doesn't work... I'll just randomly get stuck and fall 99% of the time (I made it once but was so shocked I forgot to step off). Theres no reason I should get stuck... I'm very frustrated and I'd appreciate if someone could help me out with this thing.
Same here, and many others have reported the problem also. I am fairly sure that it is due to the piston render flicker that didn't actually get fixed.
At this point, there is nothing you can do about it. Slowing it down severely might make it work, but that negates the point of the whole thing.

You mean where the block connected to the Piston disappears when activated and reappears when deactivated? That was my assumption as well if we're talking about the same thing.
I have tried one of his newer versions. The one that ascends and decends. I get stuck I believe on the third or fourth stair. I don't know why and am stumped. I checked the stairs, I checked the repeaters, no problems. I tried all repeater combinations. If it is the flicker problem as you say then, I'll do something else.

My zipper is 43 high and at first had problems. Tried repeaters at all settings still no joy, then set them back to 1. Then realised if I stand on pressure plate then onto bottom step it works 98% off the time. Also has worked for other players In my world as well.

Anyway, it's probably the piston flicker. I don't build elevators, so I always thought it was just a visual glitch. I've noticed it a lot in pistons screens, or in areas with high piston density. Not so much where they're separated, which makes sense and could explain your elevator issues.
