So as many of you know I too have started a mission to clear everything to bedrock. Well today I finally started, took about 10 minutes to find 4 diamond so I thought I would save it to use later, then a friend joins. He asks for a pick so I give him an iron one, then he disappears for a little while. Then out of no where he comes up behind me and kills me, takes my stuff, quits the game, and deletes me. Needless to say he hasn't answered my messages asking why he did it.
The one cool thing was later on another friend joined later didn't join the party or ask for anything, he then make a stair step down to a cave. Right before he leaves he spits out 6 diamonds some iron and redstone, then goes onto BF3.
Caught the whole thing on tape too since I'm recording my progress.
Just out of curiosity, how does that do him any good? I mean, he can't take the stuff out of your world, right? Sounds like you're better off without friends like that.
Some pranksters just don't really know how to tell when a prank is in good fun and when it's just being a jerk. Still, it's just a game, so raging about it online over losing a real life friend over it probably isn't worth it either.
To my way of thinking, if you're using the dupe glitch to manufacture TNT to just blow everything up to bedrock, the stolen items should not be of any importance to you at all since using duped TNT makes it impossible to account for the blocks you're mining. Also, where the staircase is... you're just going to blow that part up anyway.
It is possible for anyone to mention duping on these forums without you jumping in like the self-appointed morality police? It's really tiresome, man.
I never said it was wrong or immoral or a job. What is even more tiresome is your assumptions. All I mentioned was that the duplication glitch did have an effect on the effort placed.
I actually ALMOST lost a friend. Not because he's bad, but because we disagree on everything in minecraft. Everything i do has to be perfect and set to all my standards (door, placed from outside = must, or else i didn't build it). He doesn't care about it all that much.
If i was trying to get up a hill, i would block jump with dirt, than dig it back up because it ruins the landscape. He would block jump with cobble stone and leave it there. Than he would do it 20 more times without thinking.
We rarely play long term anymore, because i find myself cleaning up after him. We both got tired of it.

Curse PremiumNope, I even had him do some redstone stuff my other map
I leave my game open so my friends can come in and piddle around, but came back to find I had been killed Saturday afternoon.
Luckily, the tattle-tell told me the 2 people who had been in, so I deleted them both.
I have a question...
If somebody comes in your world and finds something/steals something, can they actually STEAL it (take it back to their world)?
If not, what's the point?
Kenn (ARTISTIK), Quest & Lore Writer, Renatus RPG Server
Development Team, ARK_REALMS RPG Server
No they can't take it to their world but the items are stuck in their inventory until they come back to your map
How sad...
I can make my own tools and ill just go to town on it!
That's nice of you to offer but I'm not really mining right now, rather using a dupe glitch on TNT to blow up as much as I can to get to bedrock
...and people still say that the duplication glitch does not affect the hard work placed into a project whatsoever.
