It takes time to add updates. Right now, 4J is working their butt off trying to get 1.8.2 in the Xbox version and at the same time trying to fix and test out bugs. Do you want your inventory wiped out upon entering your world or are you okay with it? Back to 1.8, in 4J's words, its like trying to create a whole new game because the have to change the coding.
So just calm your tits and wait like the PC community did.

Can't wait for the next update so people start complaining about when the update after that comes... Look up minecraft classic, play that for 5 minutes, then go play MCXBLA and be grateful for what you have.
