I'm noticing that they are still trying to figure out what they can selectively bring over from 1.9 to 1.8, but I'm crossing my fingers that they at least bring over the repair function over for armor and tools. I have so many pieces of armor and tools stored in chests since I don't really want to waste them when something that seems relatively simple could be implemented. Wishful thinking, maybe, but it definitely helps with the armor situation when it starts getting down and you practically have to remove it since the durability is so low and the armor protection is practically nonexistent.
Protection from armor is constant, depending on the type of armor you use. Unless your armor is completely depleted, durablity does not affect protection.
And why would you want item repair? To my understanding, it's only really useful to remove enchantments.
If you want to repair diamond armor, and need another piece of diamond armor to do it, where is the advantage to repairing? The 10% bonus? O_o"
I haven't played PC so I really don't know.

If anyone wants to play Bauldur's Gate (1, 2, or enhanced) or Icewind Dale PLEASE PM me. I'd like to play.

Yeah, it's really not as useful as it sounds really. I've used a whole whopping once on the PC and never did it again. It's easier and more efficient to just make new armor to me.

Yeah, sounds a bit useful if you actually collect worn armor lol. I guess the 10% bonus could be useful as a Diamond pickaxe has 1k + uses. The idea of paying for enchantments and repair from NPC Priests sounds more reliable.
Then again, I've no idea how rare Emeralds really are.
I use leather that breaks after like 4 freakin' hits, so it does sound useless.
