Hey, just had a question about the game and multiplayer. My friend and I were wondering if it were possible to be able to play the same game. For instance, one of us starts a world and the other would join and help me build stuff. However we wanted to be able to go into that world even if I wasn't around. Would he be able to go into the same world that I created and save things in it if I'm not on? We wanted to build a huge world with cities and what not, but it would be harder to if we had to keep joining eachother's games. Meaning we'd both have to be on to play in the same world.
Sorry, this is probably a confusing question. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
You can only play on the world when the host is online. 4J is looking into having rentable servers so that anyone can get on the world even if the host isn't online.
Yeah that's what we figured. I noticed it gives a hash or seed number everytime though. Is it possible to write the number down and have the other person use it? Or is that a new hash everytime it's saved?

A seed is always the same once the world is created. If your worlds seed is Glacier, it will always be Glacier. You could take your worlds seed and give it to a friend to generate their world. All it will do is make duplicate terrain though.
