I tried to start minecraft up but it froze when we tried to load a world! This has happend 3 times and i'm just letting it rest and that might solve the problem.
Yes. 2 separate backups are crucial, because if your save corrupts, you may overwrite one backup with it before you realize what happened. I pingpong my backups, basically. I use 2 memory cards for these, plus a second copy of the latest backup in the box's internal memory, so I can always tell which is newer (by comparing the thumbnails).

That's why I now have multiple backups, on my PC as well as my USB.
