See, what a nice first impression. A bunch of bugs.
Torchlight was ported from PC to Xbox. It's not like they're the first ones to do that.
On another note..
Minecraft is a great game. I play it all day every day.
Sorry if I don't like all the bugs in the programming. Maybe I should just keep my mouth shut about it.
Then people won't ask me if I'm capable of doing a better job. (sounds like they're desperately looking for some one who can, tehee :3)
See, that sounds more reasonable than your earlier posts. OK, so there are some serious redstone bugs that absolutely need to be fixed--no argument there. But just bashing the game and the programming team is counterproductive. What we should instead do is try to isolate causes and try to come up with workarounds. For example, I've found it's a bad idea to accept a massive burnout of redstone components. When that happens, I simply quit without saving, all the way to the dashboard, then relaunch and reload. To lose as little progress as possible, I always save just before mucking around with my involved redstone circuits, even if all I'm going to do is turn them on. This works well for me. It has brought things back to life more than once, without having to go meticulously trace the circuits for stuck components.
Autosave is off. Only I will decide when my world is in a safe state to save it.

Everyone who thinks that Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition is extremely buggy seems like they've never played the PC version. If you have played the PC version, you would have no problem at all with the miniscule tiny bugs that the Xbox 360 Edition has.

I think that's a rather unfair assumption. There were, it seems, a number of bugs in the original game that some people now seem to just accept as part of the game. Those people don't mind not being able to put a bed against a wall or not being able to put double doors on a house. That doesn't mean that everyone will or should be absolutely happy with those "miniscule" bugs either.
As a business, both Mojang and 4J probably want to release as high a quality product as they can reasonably produce. I don't think they expect that everyone will just put up and shut up about their being bugs in the game.
Lastly, the redstone issue is not a "miniscule" bug - if effectively disables use of a large feature of the game. Some people put a great deal of thought into developing devices that work, only to have this bug disable them the very next time they load the game. It must be frustrating for them.
I don't think anyone being a douche bag about it. 4J deserves some time and patience to sort out the issues. For a gaming software company, they have been very forthcoming about what they are trying to do, and I give them credit for that. The game is a game. The people behind it, as well as the players, are real people. Both deserve to be treated with a little respect by each other. It doesn't mean that everyone should just have "no problem" with it and shut up. They have a right to describe the issues they are experiencing. It just means that everyone should try to express their problems in a respectful manner and perhaps be prepared to wait more than 5 minutes or a day for a solution to emerge. 4J is working on it.
Redstone is buggy, we get it, big deal. Why not just go play another game where you can toy with advanced circuitry. What's that? You're having trouble finding such a game? Well burn my biscuits, I guess you'll just have to suck it up and use a wooden door for awhile, won't you?
P.S. I know you can play with circuits in Portal 2, but it's not the same. Everything takes up such a large space it's hard to really do anything with it.
Never played Portal 2 but if the circuitry there takes up more room than on Minecraft then damn thats crazy.
It does, by far. I will admit it looks a lot cooler though. Lots of laser beams being reflected, cubes defying gravity, and stuff like that. This is only a 4 bit adder:
Yeah, I'd say it takes up just a tad more space than redstone.
I have only one MC map and have been working on it since MC360 release and today i built cnbminecrafts 9 digit combo lock (which I have done before) it all worked fine until I headed back into my safe and the lock wasn't working. Now none o my Redstone doors and stairs are working in my castle. All of it has burnt out. And when I replace the torches it still doesn't work. Tried tearing down othe Redstone structures nearby to give the game some breathing room. Still doesn't work. All I my Redstone is hidden and I am not taking the time to go through and replace all of it. I hate this game now. And I will never play it again. Back to bf3 for me.
If you guys think MC is buggy then I suggest you play Fallout 3 or Fallout NV then come back and see if MC was as buggy as you thought. I love both Fallout games and Skyrim but man I've never ever seen so many bugs/glitches(some were even quest breaking) in one of those games. When I see people complain about bugs in MC I feel bad because if they think that then any Bethesda game would drive them ****ing insane LOL

Better yet, they should play Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing...
hmmm so entirly recoding a game so it will work on the xbox cause java wont work on the xbox and having a small glitch that probably isnt real(you probably ****ed it up your self) is lazy?

Just saying iv never played the pc version of Minecraft but i dont really mind the bugs :f maybe it's cause i rarely mess with redstone circuits but maybe thats just me :F

I'm really out of the loop as far as these red stone bugs are concerned. I'm not sure what the issue is. All of the red stone circuits I've created work flawlessly and I've never had a single problem. Some of these circuits use multiple gates and I have yet to experience any glitches.
I'm curious as to what the situations are that cause these malfunctions. Are they just random bugs that pop up or are they repeatable?
I have joked that they need to teach a college class on how to use redstone. Its very confusing at times and I dont bother with it really. I just mine and build things like my swimming pool and church, lol!

I wanna squish em ;(

I would +1 to that but this guy already apologized and had his problem worked out.
Sorry, no arrows to any knees here.
