I have only one MC map and have been working on it since MC360 release and today i built cnbminecrafts 9 digit combo lock (which I have done before) it all worked fine until I headed back into my safe and the lock wasn't working. Now none o my Redstone doors and stairs are working in my castle. All of it has burnt out. And when I replace the torches it still doesn't work. Tried tearing down othe Redstone structures nearby to give the game some breathing room. Still doesn't work. All I my Redstone is hidden and I am not taking the time to go through and replace all of it. I hate this game now. And I will never play it again. Back to bf3 for me.
Hey guy, look around. Nobody cares about it, now quit crying.
Clear your cache re-download the updates and all should be working
I've tried that, and it doesn't seem to fix anything. Destroying the problem blocks, saving, exiting, reloading, and replacing is the only thing that works for me. Even after I do that, some other block just ends up corrupted later anyway.

Oh so what rocky posted doesnt work all the time? hmm good to know

I tried it several times, I think my system is just more prone to bugs.
EDIT: Just tried it again and had some success. Command lines ran for about 4 minutes before a bug crashed the entire program. I think repetitive use of redstone lines eventually corrupts blocks. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. It seems this specific glitch is exclusive to the Xbox version. I know there are corrupted blocks on PC, but once fixed, they seem to be gone for good. On MCXBLA they just pop up out of nowhere, in circuits that have been used a million times before.
Welcome to my world... At least the T Flip-Flop I got from someone on here hasn't burnt out yet... Every other elaborate Redstone device has though. Its getting pretty freaking ridiculous.

At this point I just build things, hoping one day they may work perfectly. Mainly I just enjoy the challenge of building redstone creations, I rarely use them afterwards.
This post is pointless, if the whole post was about how to hate a game than just stop, but why did you go through the trouble of typing this waste of time ?
It was all working. Then I saved. I have my auto save off for that very reason. Then I hit my button and half the doors in my system don't work. Why do they even release a broken port of a game? Pistons and Redstone are the only reason I play MC and they don't even work in MC360. Just lazy programming I guess. These ppl are amteurs at creating games.
They are really bad at programming. I keep saying that.. -.-

Hate is such a strong word, but your frustration is perfectly undestandable. I think that taking a break from playing is a great idea for you to do. If it's not fun for you right now, then no one is forcing you to do it. Despite the issues, it's still fun for me; so I'm going to keep playing. I am putting off learning to much about redstone until at least after the 1.8 update. Since the game will eventually get fixed, you may want to consider keeping it up to date and then try your devises again afterward.
I think there is a particularly deep bug in the current coding causing several issues involving the stability of the designated properties of several of the blocks in the game. I'm not a programmer, but I think each update has just been exacerbating it instead of fixing the problem. Some of the issue appears to have migrated over from the original game and other parts of it seem to have been added in the conversion of the code. There are, however, 4,815,162,342 lines of code (source, announcement in my game) for 4J to have to potentially go through to resolve these bugs; and I, for one, am wiling to be a little patient with them. This is also one reason why they may be delaying the 1.8 update... in order to give themselves some time to find and sort out the block stability issues before adding a bunch of new blocks. When they do find the problem (and I'm confident they will eventually), I think we'll all find that many of the different issues will be resolved all at once. Rome wasn't built in a day, afterall!
While I can't agree that 4j staff are terrible coders (They ported a PC game to Xbox, lets see you do that), I can agree that the redstone glitch is annoying.
Just the other day I was showing a friend, who's never played, this awesome game I play and the coolest stuff I have to show him doesn't work. My self-repairing bridge had a repeater hung up that I had to break and replace. My "secret" door was stuck in the open position. It ended up being "When this works right, it's awesome" Needless to say, he was less than impressed. He was like "Nice broken game, lets play COD."
The only reason it doesn't bother me is because I've played the PC version and I know the potential here. I'm already in love with MC, so I'm more willing to accept it's limitations in this form.

See, what a nice first impression. A bunch of bugs.
Torchlight was ported from PC to Xbox. It's not like they're the first ones to do that.
On another note..
Minecraft is a great game. I play it all day every day.
Sorry if I don't like all the bugs in the programming. Maybe I should just keep my mouth shut about it.
Then people won't ask me if I'm capable of doing a better job. (sounds like they're desperately looking for some one who can, tehee :3)
yeah i found it was my repeaters that 'burnt out' weirdly if i tried replacing the same repeater down after picking it up.. nothing, if i swapped it for the repeater on another 'burnt out' device, they both worked again

Such truth coming from someone with 9 posts! Hopefully someone with some wisdom who'll stick around for the entertainment these forums present.
You guys calling eachother trolls are just encouraging more arguing and anyone trying to get a laugh(myself included).
Just skip past it like "adults".
OT: was Pong considered bug free?
Well at first he needed help, so people were helping him. Then he started
being a douchebag and started calling everybody "trolls" so yeah.
LOL well said man.

Retired StaffKay.
Why don't you just go re-write the game with superior coding then?
Why don't you go troll some one else? You know the programming sucks. Just be quiet
With a bug-bug here, and a bug-bug there. Here a bug, there a bug, everywhere a bug-bug
I think I'll make that my sig

What does Minecraft's amateur programming have to do with me?
