Does every map have a village? And what do you do with them? Do they trade? If you attack do they fight back? Anyways thanks guys if you could give any general info it would be amazing!
We get villages in the next update, but not villagers. As far as I know, every map should have at least one village.
Villagers don't trade with you until later updates. They will not fight back, but attacking villagers in later updates may cause iron golems to come and kill you. When the villager population is low, they can start breeding to make more.
Villagers stay inside at night and can open doors. Zombies will walk towards villagers and attack them. Iron golems kill anything that attacks villagers.

4J Studios has not given a release date for the next update. All they said is that there are weeks of work to do. Villagers come out in 1.9 (I think). There are wheat farms in villages so you can get bread easily from them.

Take everything of use from the village to use as your own.
Live in the village.
Expand on the village.
Or burn it to the ground and keep on trucking.
