If you just want your mobs dead so you can collect their resources, then absolutely the easiest one to build is a gravity trap. All you need is a raised platform with a roof to block out the light. A fall of 28 blocks should kill anything, and that distance also means that mobs will spawn while you're underneath. Mine has four 8x8 pads separated by four 8x2 block long water channels to funnel everything into a central 2x2 drop hole. Take care underneath though, as falling mobs can injure you. Also, the shadow cast by this is enough to allow hostile mobs to spawn at ground level, so a few torches are advised.
this take some time but looks the best so far i'am going to get my neph to tell me more complacated one
