I am looking to make a 33 by 33 hole in my world form just below the surface to bedrock i was wondering if anyone had any tips on how i could do this effectively, I'm just guessing that TNT would be best. getting it is not an issue i have a mob farm made which supplies me with about a stack of gunpowder every hour or so. Any and all tips are appreciated
That is a redstone torch attached to a side of a block. This is just simple example. You place tnt, it gets primed by the torch, then falls to the ground and blows up.

This method only works with stone and makes a 3x3x3 area. On dirt the explosion is much larger and is a random shape.
