I didn't mean to imply that it was a falsehood, Just that we don't know for sure and that there "MAY" be a way around it if the 200 item limit is true.
If I recall in the videos I saw (Sorry I can't find a link right now) , They did mention that 200 item limit but also said that by moving the items more than some X number of meters from their creation point they could get around it. They did so by dropping the items down a ways and then moving them with water sideways for a while.
It would be an interesting test by someone to see if it is true or not. Since there are other limits that are different from the PC to the XBox versions we can't really take for granted that a PC limit will be the same on this platform.
Anyone up for building an epic wheat farm in the open and seeing what happens?
I've seen something about that. If I recall, the idea is to move the resources to a chunk that is not being rendered. That freezes the timeout on the resource blocks at least, or so they say.
An experiment Nose_Job_for_a_Cowboy undertook led him to believe that the entire world gets processed constantly in our version of MC. He found that he could extend a pulsing redstone line (with repeaters to help it along, I assume) across the entire map, and it would continue to pulse all the way. That means the distant clock for it is still being processed. So sending resource blocks further away may not work in our version?
