I agree. it is on dirt with water just flowing around it.

Makes a great entrance to an underwater area when its 2 high since it blocks water and you can pass through it

I don't know if it's 1.8, but eventually, sugar is switched to not being a solid block for the player. You'll eventually be able to walk through it again.

Wasn't this fixed in the last update. Before the update i could stand on Sugar Cane now i can't. Now i just run right through my sugar cane while i am harvesting it.
