After a long boring dig, I have finally tunneled my way halfway across the map to my town, from my Slime farm.

I meet my first friend(that i did not kill) one day and decided that it could use some fresh air. About 5 minutes later we reached the surface.
He seemed so happy to get hes first view of the sky, Explored my little village, And made himself at home.
After some time i went back to check on him to find he was chilling with a new friend!!!
Wtf i said.... his new friend was not very nice.
At least we had a fun time together while it lasted.
Unfortunately I could not take any more pic's after the last one,lol....... Poor Mr.slime.
I think i need to make a new slime farm closer to home.

^{I had a nice long journey bringing up 3 small slimes to my castle only to have 2 bounce off the top of my stairwell and fell all the way to the bottom. Got one to make the trip safetly back with me only to have it fall in one of my little creeks i have and drowned. After that, I managed to get another small slime up to ground level and put him in my dog pen and it eventually despawned either that the dogs had slime supper that night. It was pretty neat thinking this was the first time this little guy ever seen the sun. I love slimes.}

I thought slimes dont despawn? I was planning on luring one up and putting him in a cage for display. But if they despawn after a while then im not even gonna bother.

From what i read I didn't think they despawned either but the little guy definately disappeared. He coudn't have escaped my dog pen since it was fully enclosed. I am wondering if the dogs had anything to do with it or since it was brought up to sunlight that had something to do with it.

If anyone knows for sure if slimes despawn due to certain conditions or if that was a fluke having the one disappear please share.

I would like to bring up a bunch of slimes again but not if they will eventually despawn.

They dont despawn if you change difficulty to peaceful like other hostile mobs, but they despawn the usual way where as if you're 32-128 blocks away, they will randomly despawn, after 128 they will instantly despawn

I wish slime were like dog's and never despawn. Could have a slime army in my town.(slime town) Have had them kill me, fall of ledges many times,lol and even had them get stuck and drown.... Good stuff,lol

I wish slimes were pets too..

But here's what happened to mine.



There are usually a ton more but this was shortly after I killed them all. Slime Slaves!

I putted them on a cage but they keep despawning =(
