What does everyone think would happen if someone put a layer of glowstone across the entire sky? -- 49er

If someone else has a crazy and untested idea to contribute, I'll update this post and create a list with all of the ideas and results if they are tested.
Don't think it'd really achieve much as the light would need to be close enough to the ground. Even if that happened there are still hills and valleys as well as caves where its dark.
I assume it would block out the sun during the day and light up the sky at night. Monsters would be able to spawn 24/7. It'll be dark at all times on the ground.
That's about all really.
