Just wondering if somebody who has a snow biome on their world could help me with an experiment?

I am looking for a solution to keep snow from accumulating on the ground and am wondering if there are any ways to do this that are invisible on the surface...

Eg - I know that torches & glowstone blocks etc will stop snow for a few blocks around them, but if you have a glowstone block or lava block 1 deep under the ground so it is not visible from the surface, would that still prevent snow from gathering on the surface?

I have no snow in my maps to test this and was hoping someone may already know the answer or have an empty snowy area they could test this on... Otherwise ill just have to create some worlds until I find snow and then set about getting some lava & glowstone to test it ..

I do not know the answer, but my world has a ton of snow in it. I think it's about 90% snow and ice. The seed number is: -225620801
