My advice is that when a game becomes boring take a break from it. Why play a game that you are burnt out on till the point you never want to play it again?
i got bored . so i started climbing to the top of trees and pouring out buckets of lava . watching all the little piggies burst into flames . cows getting incenerated . good wholesome fun . then you pour a bucket of water on the top of the tree and bam. instant empire state building . i even buit a observation deck so i could watch the lava go about its work :

What a shame. Although you must realize once you get the diamond tools all gets exciting.
- Make a nether town with a friend. (This can be difficult.)
- Create a server and meet new people.
- Underground dwarven city.
ECT.
You can never be bored, you just have to think; and get creative.

I may seem intelligent, but i assure you; it is all an illusion weaved by the stupidity of people who have no idea what they are talking about.
Then try to make redstone contraptions. That kept me busy for a month and I'm still trying to master it.
That's what I've been doing, now. I have a huge supply of materials and never feel like making a town, and so I've decided to experiment with redstone. Well, that and finding slimes. They are the one thing I can't seem to find much of in my world, and the lack of enough sticky pistons makes redstone tough.

The best part is you never truly "master" redstone. Even if you catch up to the pros, there are always innovations to be made. Until those innovations become so complex and large that they are completely out of range. According to this thread, Regular Hexahedron approximates the limit to 289 meters. That was in single player creative mode for the PC though, who knows what the limit is for the XBLA version. I think I will test this out... I shall soon return.

Loool. +1
I laughed out loud, pretty good. I wonder what my response would be.
Cool story bro. Could use more dragons.
Try figuring out some different redstone circuits. That opens a new world of things to do!
Making a lever act like a button is gratifying when you complete it. Try to figure that out.
I'd tell them, "Grab your pickaxe, and follow me!"

As my mom used to say (honest), only boring people get bored.
If you can't find something, sounds like a personal problem. (no insult intended). A writers block of sorts.
There's always something to work on sir. Especially now we have had pistons, any lack of creativity can't be blamed on the game.
