I searched through the forum and couldn't seem to find an answer to this:
Has there been any mention as to whether or not there will be an increase in the drop limit on XBox?
Currently there is a limit of around 200 drops on the screen at any given time. Once the limit has been reached, items begin to disappear so new items can drop. I understand the technical reasoning as to why this was done (to decrease processor and graphical rendering lag), however I would love to see this increased.
Once we receive the 1.8 update and food becomes a necessity, it would be very helpful if we could build larger automated wheat farms. As mine stands right now, I have to divide it into sections and put a switch to each section so that I can collect all of the wheat and seeds without any disappearing.

Nor have I. If I could make an educated guess, they probably won't be increasing it.
1). They understand the hardware specs they are working with and probably set it to what they felt was good from the beginning. There is much they plan to still add.
2). With all the different complaints, demands, and suggestions from the forums and twitter I sincerely doubt that drop limits are anywhere near the top of their lists.
Then again, I don't work for 4J so that's just an educated guess. Anything with an increase would appease me honestly.
I'd like to see the vertical range of our worlds expanded upon. (from 128 blocks to 256 blocks)

If anyone wants to play Bauldur's Gate (1, 2, or enhanced) or Icewind Dale PLEASE PM me. I'd like to play.
Yeah, I don't see it increasing any time soon if ever honestly. Like Puma_SPNKr, they know the limitations of the Xbox 360. If the game is already lagging with how it currently is, I don't think they'll want to purposefully add to it.

That will be coming in 1.2.3 my good sir. Hopefully switch the Xbox 360 version into the Anvil world format will make the game run smoother and could possibly allow the worlds to be a little bit bigger because it adds a lot of optimizations to how the world is loaded and sustained in the memory.

Given the optimization to come with that update, it seems like a potentially opportune time for an increase to drops. I won't keep my hopes up, but it would definitely be nice to see.

There is also an update that will make items dropped on the ground group together into a stack if they're close enough. that could also make the drop limit increase because it makes the game lag less when they are all in a pile on the ground and not spread out.
