Ive got both game but prefer minecraft even tho castle z is good too.

Unfortunately, CMZ is an indie game, which on XBL means you must be online to play. I don't buy any game that forces me online to play it.

I watched my younger brother play Castle Miner Z and that game is laughable. It's just too hard to watch it for more than a few minutes.

I do love Z. Never anyone to play with, thats me though. I will say this, the first time I shot down a dragon while strafing around zombies and stuff....I felt epic. Very few games capture that, and part of the feeling was inside the fact I made all of it. I made the catwalks, the guns, and the bullets. The dragon I made dead, and it felt good.

CMZ lacks a lot of what makes Minecraft fun. They're crafting system is clunky, textures are horrible, XBL Avatars as characters looks bad in my opinion, no fluid physics, very uninteresting worlds, and more. I also dislike the creator and it's community. If you go onto their forums and even mention Minecraft, you get attacked by everyone and sometimes even banned from the forum. The creator also refuses to add certain things to his game because Minecraft has them.

Do you have proof for either of these things? Before you get pissed, I agree with you that Minecraft is better. But I'd like proof of these things to use them in an argument.

I was going to go to the forum and take screenshots but they no longer have a forum on their main website. It looks like the forum has been taken down and replaced with a Facebook page instead.

Trust me though, I started playing the game to give myself something to do while waiting for the Xbox 360 Edition of Minecraft, so I went on to their forums. I was curious about what was coming in their updates. The games creator had a posting of rules on the forum and one of them was to not talk about Minecraft or anything from Minecraft that you wanted in CastleMiner Z. The forum was filled with a lot of people bashing Minecraft and like I said before, if you mentioned it, you got all the hate directed at you.

That's actually pretty believeable. My friend has CastleMiner and she said that it's so much better because it has guns and the graphics aren't terrible. And I told her that the graphics of Minecraft are supposed to be terrible.. It's like South Park. Part of the reason of why it's funny is the terrible animation. You don't watch South Park and say "Hmm... I don't think this is very realistic." Same with Minecraft.

Also, I'm a gun nut, and CastleMiner has a semi-automatic bolt action rifle. Nuff said.

At one point (before Minecraft was released) I purchased all of the indie clones just to kill time until May 9th.... They ALL suck in comparison.....JMHO. Although some are fun for a while, none have the overall addictive fun as Minecraft. I was just looking at Indie games last night and now there are like 10 different clones now...... A few for only 80ms points (1$). Now if Indie games could have achievements maybe they would get played more....... Castle miner Z is OK But loses it's fun after a couple sessions of play....

I have never played it. But I still like minecraft better.

Before minecraft came out for xbox, my friend pressured me enough to buy it. We played for about 1-3 hours that night, and it was loads of fun. We have never played it ever since that day, all we play is minecraft. (he used to play that game non-stop)

Total miner was a very good clone, in my opinion. The ONLY issue I had with it was its retarded blueprint system. But it had tons of block types, a neat currency system, killer seeds, alternate avatars, creative mode, and an extremely deep subterranean level. For fun, if you want something to do while taking a minecraft break, play that game using the seed 666. I WISH minecraft had something like that...it was entirely awesome.

Castleminer was good for its creative mode, same with Fortresscraft. Actually, fortresscraft has one up on minecraft in its unique block forge. You can take other blocks and make, similar to a pixel editor, a new block to place. I made a table with it, and some chairs. Minecraft could USE such a thing. Its the one thing I would ask for in MC vanilla. Mod material not included, that is.

It's kind of the same thing on Fortresscraft

Both although both of them get boring rather quickly. However, Castle Miner Z is far from my favorite Indie Game.

I know that both game are good and are unique. But personally I like minecraft because of the graphic, gameplay, and music. I know that CMZ looks better but minecraft look like the way it look because Notch chose to make it like that. The texture of minecraft gives a classic feeling and make it unique. Mobs are cute and adorable. Also many people like CMZ because of guns. Well, I would already be playing CMZ if it had NO guns. Guns doesn't fit with the surrounding at all. I like minecraft because of the nature-like feeling. CMZ also have that nature-like feeling but it's ruin by guns. I know many people love guns but in my opinion I don't like it much. The last thing is the music. Even though CMZ have great epic music it doesn't fit the calm surrounding. Minecraft have calm music which makes you feel like dream. I know that many people may not agree with this but it's about opinion. Maybe CMZ was better, or minecraft is better, but nothing can judge it.

Castle Miner Z is plain boring. Whoever votes CM because of guns are CoD fanboys.
