What I don't get is why they have every hostile mob in the game so far tracked for kills on the leaderboards, but ghasts. They have spider jockeys, which are rare. Ghasts are hostile mobs… Why aren't they being tracked for kills. The inconsistency is driving my OCD mad. o_0
I think I'm at a pretty reasonable rank for Hard mode due to my Skeleton and Zombie spawner trap. I think I'm ranked around the 1,000 but when I see the top guy's kills over 65K Spider Jockey kills in Hard, something must be up.

Do you actually get credit for kills from Mob Grinders? I think you can only get the kill stat if you kill them yourself. I could def be wrong here but I don't see my kill stats going up at all when I am grinding.

I would guess it's to do with the Nether, since they don't track Netherrack or Soul Sand mining either. They do count Zombie Pigmen kills, which would seem to negate that idea, but I've read that Zombie Pigmen can spawn in the overworld near portals. I''ve never seen it (and maybe it doesn't happen on Xbox), but it's supposedly possible.

They don't spawn in the overworld on the Xbox 360 version. That was just introduced in 1.3 for the PC version.
I have maxed out stone and i believe im very close on dirt. But minecraft was the only thing i played for about 3 months until i got bored and moved to the pc version. Its not that hard with time

Nope. No credit. Its the same as mobs dying in sunlight, you dont get credit for those either. I also have a mob grinder and i was kinda hoping that they would count, but oh well.

So, yeah, not counting Ghast kills makes no sense.
