I just wanted to know, has anyone gotten bored of minecraft? If not, then what do you guys do when you feel like minecraft just got boring? Lately i just feel less and less convinced to pick up the comtroller and play.

How many Dragon Ball Z characters does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
Just one, but it takes ten episodes.

all games get boring if you Play It like everyday.

Very true.
I haven't gotten bored of the Xbox 360 Edition of Minecraft, but I have been distracted by the PC version. I own both and the most recent update for PC, 1.3.1, is just too awesome to pass up on. People are rightly dubbing it Adventure Update 2. Once I've experienced everything it has to offer though, I'll start to play the Xbox 360 Edition again.
A little bit, but is isn't so much being bored as it is having nothing to build. I like to build useful things, rather than just things for looks. Like when the game first came out, I built my house, storage room, mineshaft, wheat farm, slime farm, and other things. When pistons came out I build a couple elevators and an auto wheat farm. Now I am waiting for breeding to make an animal farm, I am waiting for enchanting for fortune picks, among other things, I am waiting to make an XP grinder, I am waiting until villagers are released before building (or expanding) a village, etc. I enjoy it when new things come out, but when I know what to expect later, the wait for the next update just seems too long.
Gotta say, I thought I would never get bored of it. Woke up just today, feeling done with it. Well, only two things a person can do. Wait for an update, or hit Gamestop.
I have played almost everyday since the release on the 360 and I'm still finding things to do. I mainly play alone and have only explored about half my world. I have an automatic wheat farm that has been re built twice to make the red stone hidden. I have mined about one third of level 15 over the entire map. I have built a secret supply bunker into a mountain, complete with three hidden piston doors. One of those doors is a flush 2x2 door built into one of dozens of street tunnels. The bunker has 8 levels with eight rooms. Each room has 28 double wide chest in them. I plan on hoarding anything I don't need at the moment, and to build up supply's for future builds. I pave streets with black sheeps wool. I either have to find black sheep or do a lot of diving.
This is all while being married and working a full time job. I only play about three hours a day.... Or so...
No, not bored yet. I just don't see it in the future either.

The reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.
I played REALLY hardcore for about a month, but now I've been going through the other games in my collection. I think I'll putter around on single player here and there, and I'll probably play a bit to try out creative mode, but my MC probably won't get very much milage til the adventure update
i have actually. The reason i love the PC version is all the creativity and things you can do. I can play as many adventure maps and get a bunch of mods, explore a huge minecraft world( Xbox version is so small), and do other things i cant do on the xbox version. Having 4J say that they are looking into mods and adventure maps makes me believe it will be forever until we might get them. Im running out of things to do in the xbox version while in the PC version im never bored.
I've recently started a new world on hard only where I try to collect/craft every block you can on the game. Very challenging
All I play on is hard. I also try to re-enact Hardcore Mode from PC a few times a week where if you die(on hard) You have to delete your world. One Life One World. You get killed that's it. It keeps the challenge to stay alive interesting and exciting especially if you find a really good seed but even when I don't do Hardcore Mode it's awesome just to play/create on Hard. Normal is a little too easy for my taste and I hate Easy and Peaceful mode.
I've been feeling a bit bored with it lately but I think it is more a case of my creativity hitting a writer's block phase. I still like the game, I just have struggled to visualize my next major project. This has happened before and I usually get over it fairly quickly. Been mining up some resources while I debate my next project. Also sometimes I just pick up Skyrim and play that for a bit and I always end up coming back to Minecraft.

Wait a second...you play almost every day since May 9th, which is just over 3 months...and you've only explored half your map?
Actually I did find a bit on inspiration today. On my current seed, a piece of cactus spawned on some weird 1x1 random tower made of smooth stone & sand right in the middle of my map. It honestly looks like something that somebody carved out and/or created (no I don't allow randoms on my map). So I've decided to make a temple around it to worship this magical sky cactus.

The maps filled out from working underground. But surface structures are few and far apart. Oh, and spend a lot of time flattening the land to build some projects. Sometimes a forty block mountain takes time to move!
