I was playing it and I found out that if I place a stair and try to break it I will get the resource, (etc. wood stair=wood block ) can some one help me with this, if it is not a glitch please tell me, I've used my hand and an axe to break it.
Everyone knows about this, I believe it was changed in 1.8. Sorry man :/

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
It's not like wood or cobblestone are in short supply really. Actual stairs take up less room than making a staircase out of half slabs.
Yes, there are limits to using slabs, but my point was, they tend to look better (more so on larger builds). I get tired of seeing staircases going straight up 15 blocks.
And when we get sprinting, I think you can't run on stairs but you can on slabs. Or is it the other way around?
Thanks guys. I didn't know about this because by the time I got the PC version, it was in 1.2, but I found out about Minecraft at 1.8 beta, so it was already patched.
