Now that fences are stackable, I tried to see if I could use them to build a wooden rollercoaster. It worked really well. Fencing + wood planks on top + track on top of that = great classic wooden-coaster look. I don't have facebook, so I didn't take pix of this. Give it a shot if you're bored. You need a power rail every other space on the up ramps, and a few others here and there to keep the carts going around without you in them. I used a lever switch at the start, and I just push the cart over those starting switched rails. Round and round it goes. Flip off the lever, and it stops. No fancy redstone circuits and detector rails here. Just a proof of concept that worked very well.
