I absolutely love the thunder sound. Lightning storms before hand were fun to watch, add the great and loud thunder makes it so much better. I'm happy this was finally fixed. Anyone else happy by this?
Now, how about some ambient noises? Birds. Running water (above ground), wind, water dripping, crickets... you get the idea. with the music off, the game is QUIET.
I love it. It's the first time in a long time that I've heard thunder in the game since playing on the PC version months & months ago. So, it was welcomed; however, it scared the absolute crap out of me when it sounded because I'd been accustomed to not hearing it. Not to mention, I have a bunch of wool structures! I ended up enjoying it briefly before panicking to bed to skip through it.
It startled me when I first heard it. I quite enjoy the thunder snow at the top of my mountain, but there is literally a one block line between rain and snow on my mountain that is quite annoying. I hate the sound of rain and it just looks horrible where it is.
Do you have a point other than to tell me to deal with it? Or are you trying to say my opinion isn't valid? Either way stop being an ass.
My point is, it's never going to change. It will always thunder and lightning while it snows. It even does it in deserts where there is no weather at all. It's how the games weather has functioned and will probably always function. It's a very simplistic game, so the weather effects are also very simplistic.
In defense of the game's weather, there actually can be thunder and lightning in snowstorms in real life in case nobody knew. It's rare, but it can happen. I'm from around Chicago so I've experienced it quite a few times.
Just putting it out there in case that was the issue.
I'm aware of that. It still looks odd getting frequent lightning in the middle of snowstorms.
When I was in College I would work the ski slopes for extra cash and everytime Thunder/Lightning storms would come by we would close the lifts down... So, Yes in reality there are thunder/Lightning storms in snow/ice conditions.
I live in an area where it snows from September till May. I know thunder and lightning can occur during snowstorms. It just rarely occurs. All I was doing was expressing my opinion that having it happen every time it snows in my world is unrealistic.

Yeah that's true. I'm just kinda glad it happens at all, even though it's supposed to be very rare.
Maybe they will fix it if they ever get around to it. Who knows?

I wouldn't worry about that when lightning starts fires they get put out by the rain instantly.
