Do you think they'll ever add the option to make the gamertags invisible over they're head and on maps? I'm wondering cause It would be fun to play hide n seek and stuff around a city

That would be cool to have as an option, perhaps only have it a toggle on/off option for the world owner though (if they turn tags on/off, it would apply to all in the server), because griefers could use it for terrible purposes if they were able to lol.

Exactly what I was thinking.

This, your gamertag disappears when you crouch.

Incorrect. The gamertag dissipates to a shade of grey. When it is behind a solid block, however, it fades more. Nonetheless, it is still present in both situations.

My only opposing idea is that this option has little practical purpose.

This is the way to do it. It doesn't remove the nametag entirely, but makes it difficult to notice from a distance.

I clicked on this thread thinking it was going to be another crying session for world sharing...

But anyway, this would be a good option. It could be put to great use.

It would be even more fun to start playin hide n seek then changing to the herobrine skin and scaring the **** out of your friend!

There is an option to make yourself invisible on maps but other than that you need to crouch.

The option to hide Gamertags is coming in 1.8.2 update.

I think he means completely invisible... crouching will not achieve that.
My thought on it is... "No" Considering they have not done it in the PC version, why make it unique to the xbox version that is not even fully developed.

4J is adding the option to make Gamertags completely invisible, just like how you can be invisible on maps, in the 1.8.2 update.

And no... i did not look at the thread's answers... i looked at the question that was asked and responded in what i thought... but again, only for xbox?

Yes, only for the Xbox 360 as it's being done by 4JStudios, not Mojang.
