So I just purchased the xbox game fair and square for $20, and I am enjoying it but I've watched things online and seen that there is more content on the PC version. I think that it looks to be better, but it costs $30 dollars. Do you guys think I should wait for a possible update that might happen in September that might include creative and survival? Also what is Adventure mode? Does the money go to the same place, because if it does, maybe I could exchange it and spend $10 dollars more for the online version? thanks guys very much appreciated.
Minecraft for PC and Xbox 360 are 2 different games made by 2 different companies. You will not be able to exchange one for the other. We will be getting all the stuff currently in the PC version though.

Well its hard to really compare the two versions at the time as you are playing the beta version 1.7.3 on the xbox versus the official 1.3.1 on the pc. Now as far as the 1.8.2 update goes that will include the creative mode as well as give us some newer things to work with but we will still be behind version wise.
Now as for where the money goes no it is going to two seperate places so you can't exchange it.
Now which you prefer is up to you and how you like to be able to control the actions of the game, some people dislike the controls that are used on the pc and therefore will tell you that they prefer the xbox version, others will be the other way. Me I have both the xbox and the pc and I honestly haven't touched the pc version but a few times since buying it mainly do to the resources required to run it on a pc and the fact that everyone I play with has it on xbox.

Yes I would wait I mean its basically like watching the finished product(although its not finished) and buying the kit to make the finished product. We should hopefully see an update roughly every 2 months till we get caught up to the pc version and each update we will get the new features or craftable materials for that version.
Since it's your money the decision is ultimately yours.
My 2 cents on this is that it depends on your circumstances, personally I have an older Windows XP system that has very poor performance for MC but it was worth me spending the money because on weekends when I have my kids, they love to play on dads XBox. They don't have a games consoles at their Moms house so I don't mind letting them play but I get Minecraft withdrawl when my kids are playing their games. (Just for the record my son likes to play minecraft, but I don't let him play online, he's only 8)
Untill I can get a better PC then it's XBox all the way for me(unless my kids are on it and I need a fix)
Depends on your circumstances and your patience, it may be a while before MC360 is up to date because there's a lot of work to be done to the XBox version, eg. latest bug fixes, "fixed a rendering bug causing active pistons to flicker" I never had that problem untill they "fixed" it and now my pistons are flickering, sometimes they just dissapear. Things like that could slow the development progress down, since they have to "re-fix".
From what I understand, the next update (due in the next 4 to 6 weeks) is supposed to be huge, a long way from up to date with the PC but a lot closer than it is atm. Apart from Creative mode, there is supposed to be some really cool things coming to survival mode like Endermen and new craftables, since we aren't used to having them it's going to be fun to explore the new content.
Bottom line, even though I have both versions, I'll be playing on the box unless my kids are on it.
There's arguements for both choices but the bottom line is only you can make that decision.

Yes, the PC version has a whole lot more but that's because the 360 port is still in it's relatively early stages.
But I bought it because my PC can't run minecraft very well and I enjoy it a lot.
