So i accidentally deleted my world and I can't for the life of me remember what seed I used. I know it had one huge main island on the west part of the map with snow in the south, and the eastern half was divided into two separate islands connected by a small path. The reason I loved this seed is because one of the islands had a volcano like mountain on it. All I can remember is it started with -4. If anyone by some slim chance knows this seed Please let me know. Or if anyone knows of a similar seed with tall mountains on islands please post.
-Also, I originally found this seed on the PC forums here, but I have searched and searched and cannot find it again.
Yeah, the odds of finding that number are one in one quintillion. If you were somehow able to look at one seed per second, it would take you over 31.7 million years to look at them all. Unless you're incredibly lucky or there's some way to undelete on X-Box, say goodbye to that seed.
^^@!^&*((( Reading your Mind through DSL ))) %[email protected]@! OK, now try 5545454.... Just kidding Bummer Dude! If all else fails, the answer to life and everything is....... 42. Seriously!!!!
I believe it is actually 1 in 18.4 quintillion or more exactly; 1 in 18,446,744,073,709,551,616
And it is actually possible to un-delete files from the Xbox 360 hard drive, but whether it is worth the effort depends on how much you want the seed back. When you delete a file from the 360 hard drive it doesn't immediately delete the data, it just flags it as deleted. When new data is written to the hard drive it overwrites data that is flagged as deleted. So if you are lucky and haven't used your console much since deleting the save it may be possible to recover it.
You would need an Xbox 360 transfer cable, a PC and third party software capable of reading a FATX formatted hard drive and recovering deleted files such as FATXplorer or Datel's Xport software.
I would assume that doing this would void the warranty of your hard drive, but I don't know for sure.
...I really wish someone would have told me this when my hard drive got corrupted and I lost everything on there...
