So when a patch hits and add new stuff does that make my prior worlds irrelevant or will it add options to exisiting worlds I have created?
I noticed in the Tutorial now there is sugar. My son who is 4 loves the tutorial. Can you do a full build out, out of tutorial mode with all items available etc. Or do they hold back?
1. All craft able items will be added into old worlds and new mobs, but all new things that occur during world generation will not(e.g. End portals, villages, jungles...)
2. It is possible to save the tutorial world as a normal world and use it without being limited

Guy above me answered the first question, I'll elaborate a bit on the second.
The tutorial world can be used as a world with some things already built in. There are no restrictions in the map, items, destruction, or otherwise. You may even save and quit while in the Tutorial world then start it back up online so friends may play on it as well. (not saying you'd put a 4 year old online, lol)

If anyone wants to play Bauldur's Gate (1, 2, or enhanced) or Icewind Dale PLEASE PM me. I'd like to play.

So basically, if I started a game from the day that MC came out (which I did) and I have continued building, everything is imported, but I cant create end portals? If this is true then not only is it lame as sh&* but I can't believe people would support a game like that.
Enough people with low expectations will ruin anything.
Let he said all craft-able items will be added (When they add new items, just go to the crafting table, it will be there).
But, any terrain updates won't be added if you have explored the whole map.
Let me clarify.
If started a new world the day the game came out. I never explored anywhere. Just stayed in the same spot until now. NEVER EVER LEFT THAT SPOT. Than 1.8 comes out, if i go out of that spot, things like jungles, mineshafts and all the other stuff will appear like normal.
But if i started a new world on the first day the game came out, and i explored EVERY INCH of that map, and an update comes out, i won't get things like jungles, mineshafts, or any other terrain updates like that.
Hope i helped, and oh, this is the same as the computer version.
You can't add jungles in explored areas, say you find a cave right where you made a house, or a mountain appears in the same spot as a building.
Also it was confirmed today ( or a day ago) that in a future update we would be seeing anvil worlds, hopefully we will be able to change your existing worlds into these behemoths to gain everything from updates

That would screw up terrains in existing worlds converting it to anvil format, you could have a desert biome before and then convert the world to anvil and there might be a snow biome there instead or something like that.
I didn't want to make an entire thread about this on the
forums but I seriously cannot find the answer anywhere.
If someone can answer this small question that would be
awesome.
What update makes it to where fences act like glass panes and attach to other blocks?
I was hoping 1.8 but I don't think it will be. I don't know why, but this small feature means
alot to me. Maybe it's because i'm sick of how fences work now.

Ok thanks. Will we be seeing this update on xbox?
This is a few updates after 1.8 correct? Sorry, I'm a bit
handicapped with learning the chronological order of
the updates. Like going 1.7.3, 1.8, I just don't understand it.

Nobody knows when. These are just the version releases for PC, so don't expect the same release schedule on the XBOX. We could easily see smaller updates (1.9.2 and 1.9.5) combined into one update. Based on my experience, I would guess that we'll see 1.8 beta, both 1.9 beta releases combined, then the 1.0 final release. (Generally versions count up numerically, only resetting the first digit when there's a MAJOR feature change or official release. Changes in the second number are significant additions. A change in the last digit of a release usually indicates a bug fix.) I'd expect these to take months each, but I'm not on that project so I have no idea how difficult it is to port this title from the PC build.

Actually, after the 1.8.2 update, we're gonna jump directly to 1.2.3

That'll be great if they can get it all together. Knowing what a pain it is to get stuff up on XBL sometimes, I'm not surprised they're combining builds. I just hope we don't have to wait too long between updates.
