lol Captain Literal. Lets think about how much time is spent looking for food to suffice for a 480 ranking on the leaderboards. Now, divide that down to finding one piece and add a minute's worth of time for duping. Your legit players are looking for food and supplies to stock up and work their way up the leaderboards. Your illegitimate players can cut corners and spend less than a tenth of the time making the same, if not greater progress.
Does duping directly affect the leaderboards in this case? No, but it sure as hell gives players the upper hand in the long run.

I can promise you nobody dupes to gain "leader board status". It's funny how you people, the so called "duping police" complain about the people who dupe even though it is only used to create things, which is the point of peaceful btw. As for everything above peaceful which I will refer to as survival mode, you can simply create mob traps to boost your leaderboard ranks, however that is somehow socially acceptable in comparison to the "evil duplication glitch".
I find it all funny, as for mining blocks, guess what every block you break (with the exception of stone) you can re plant down and mine it again to boost your ranks. The leaderboard means nothing, so stop acting like it does, and stop using it as crutch to make the duplication glitch seem bad, when in reality there is more then enough justification for anyone to use the duplication glitch.
