Hi guys, I just got the game on xbox two days ago and I still haven't really figured everything out yet. So here it goes:
1.) How do I get into a multiplayer map? I've had friends on and playing, but it doesn't enable me to join their map.
2.) Is there like a Hunger Games thing on Xbox?
3.) How long does it take for wheat to grow, and where can I find diamonds and clay.
4.) How do I make a fence to open for my animal farm?
5.) I tried to lure animals into my fenced in area with wheat, but none would come? How should I get them?
Thanks a lot guys, I really do appreciate the answers!
If there is a better place to post this, or these questions have been answered a million times, sorry!
If your friends have their game set to invite only, then you can't just join their game.
If you look in the "find people" section, you can find people hosting hunger games maps. Currently there is no way to download other people's maps without modding, so if you want to host one yourself, you would have to make the map.
The time for wheat to grow varies. I believe the longest it should take is 20 minutes, but it is usually faster than that. You can find diamonds below level 16, I believe(you can find your level by looking at a map, the y-coordinate). Clay is usually found in or near water.
Fence gates are in another update, same with luring animals with wheat. Keep in mind that right now you shouldn't bother trying to make an animal farm, as animals despawn in this version. In the 1.8.2 update, they will not despawn.
And you can't make gates for fences nor can you lure animals with wheat.... yet.
Those things come in later versions. Wait for update(s).
Do they update this game frequently? And do you know if there is a update coming soon? Which may include Survival and Creative modes. Is there anyway to get animals into farm?

To my understanding, this game is updated at least once a month with every other update being a bug fix.
For example:
Version update
Bug Fix
Version Update
Bug Fix
Version Update....
I believe this month's update will be a bug fix and it should apparently be out any day now. I think next month's update will be a version update (1.8 or something like that).
I could be wrong on any of this, so don't quote me on it. This is what I've gathered through reading several other topics. I apologize if any of this is inaccurate.
No. (Define "frequently")
Yes. (Probably within the next month or two).
Probably.
No. (There's no real reason to make a farm yet. Currently animals will respawn if your kill them, so you won't run out of them, and you don't need to keep them penned up).

The next big update will be 1.8.2. No one knows when they will release the updates. I assume it will be mid to late September. This update will add creative mode. We already have survival mode. Currently it is pointless to trap animals, as they can despawn. In 1.8.2 they will no longer despawn, but you cannot breed them(unless they bring that feature forward in the 1.8.2 update). So while you would be able to make a pen for them, you cannot breed them, and therefore can't really make an effective farm, except for chickens(because of eggs).
I thought survival included having an energy bar, and you needed wheat and food. Also is there like a newsletter every month that they right to give us heads up on what's coming up? Sorry for being such a noob.

No, that is part of the adventure update, which comes in 1.8.2. It is an addition to survival mode, but what we currently have is also survival mode. Check out these links: http://www.minecraft...on_history/Beta http://www.minecraft...Version_history
These are for the PC, but it lists all the things we can look forward to getting. The updates planned for us right now are 1.8.2 and 1.2.3. So in the 1.8.2 update we should be getting everything between 1.7.3-1.8.2, and maybe some stuff from later updates(such as breeding or enchanting). The 1.2.3 update will include everything from 1.9 pre-release up to 1.2.3(and maybe some other stuff pulled from 1.2.5 or later). 4J have stated what their update schedule is, up to 1.2.3. That is all we know, there is no newsletter, but they do post info on their twitter account.

Survival mode includes the feature you mentioned, but only in future updates. I believe it first appeared in 1.8 or something like that. The PC version of Minecraft is the most up to date version. The Xbox 360 version is pretty far behind, but it will catch up eventually.
I don't know about any newsletter, but that doesn't mean there isn't one. If there is, I would really like to know where I can find it because it would be really nice to stay informed.
Also, don't apologize for anything. Everyone was a noob at one point.
So is the 1.8.2 update the next one to happen, after this new bug fix one, and it will include the creative and a updated survival and possibly a fence gate and luring animals?

To the best of my knowledge, yes. That is correct.

Here you can read about wheat growing:

BTW, say goodbye to family and friends. You won't see much of them now that you have Minecraft.
2.If you mean custom maps, then no there isn't any, unless you mod, but that will get you banned from XBL
3.Growing time varies for wheat, diamonds are in the ground in different places, and clay is usaully underwater by sand.
Those things come in later versions. Wait for update(s).
