I really dont understand this way of thinking that everybody has on here, when have 4j ever come out and said 'if people moan about it long enough we'll add it to the game'?
Does nobody realise the implications adding a mod like this to the game would have on the programming man hours, and the actual community as a whole? Releasing somthing like this would split the community down the middle, something 4J and microsoft would want to avoid at all costs. They cant risk a bunch of people having one version of the game, and another bunch of people having a different version, what would happen when people wanted to play together but didnt have the same mods? you think they'd just let people hop onto servers with content they havnt paid for running on it and just expect it to work for free because their friend bought it? GET REAL!
Adding mods like this to the game would open a MASSIVE can of worms, why dont people realise this. Do you really think they are going to add a mod to the game that they would have to constantly update along with the actual releases of the game? anybody who's been in the video games industry would tell you 'NO', it just dosnt make sense for them to add stuff like this to the game, especially whilst the actual build is still being worked on.
You'll be lucky if they add a new block or mob to the game, never mind a mod the size of the tekkit pack
I saw this post and thought I'd mention that it would allow friends to join other friends games if they have tekkit. It works with kingdom for keflings, why not work for minecraft xbox? They could make it so if you own the dlc you can use it in your own world but if you didnt own the dlc but joined someone who had the dlc it would allow you to use the dlc.
i know me and nearly everybody wants tekkit, we can hope that tekkit can come, 4J will need mod creators help and that happening has a real low chance, if mod creators accept to do tekkit in xbox it might take 2 years to come to xbox so please stop reviving this topic, writing in here is pointless.
I would pay $20 for tekkit version of minecraft. Make it so that its non dependent on the original game. Like Tekkit minecraft game number 2. Also I have a theory about the redstone glitches, that people dont understand the north/south east/west rules surrounding redstone. You can build it one way and not get any problems.
Look at you all buying in to this big money grab I will pay any thing more more more and more..
Lets just trow more at it
Enough is enough, they have not even fixed the stuff that is broken with no release date in site and now you want more.
Our Xbox's have a limited over head and stack that's it it can not be increased..........
They are not PC's with expansion slots, were you can add ram and add hardware resources...
even if you could map part of your hard drive as ram that would slow that application down and cause application lag for the players as well because you are only as fast as the slowest device attached to the computer...

Are you picking this up yet...
Very much so, you would rather not do something than look for ways to do it.
Moos I want Tekkit.
Vanilla gets old quite fast we need faster updates or big mods.
Minecraft could keep some people playing over Christmas with a mod or 1.2.3 update.

I put my shirt on one leg at a time, just like everybody else.
…. you would rather not do something than look for ways to do it.
That's one way to look at it.
The other way is, would you rather waste your time wishing for ways to do the impossible- like slamming a revolving door, or adding Tekkit to the xbox?

This is a question that I've haven't gotten the answer to yet...
Why didn't Mojan and 4J Just give us the latest PC version at the time of the relase?
They could have not announced that they are going to platform it for the Xbox 360 until they were done with the latest version. Then they could reales the PC and the Xbox 360 updates around the same time because then all they'd have to do is when they're done making the PC version they go right into making the Xbox 360 version and release them the same day, however the Xbox360 version will be released about a week after the PC because of Microsoft Cert. Testing... so subb=mited when the PC was released.

Simple.
Because the PC people would not put up with Mojang hanging on to a completed update, 1.2.3, for many months (and still counting) while 4J brought the xbox version up to the (at the time) PC version. Can you imagine the uproar from the PC people if they had to wait a year for their next update?
But the big question is: why do people think they have to be the same? Two different developers, two different platforms, two different versions (variants). They're gonna split for good and be different after the 1.2.3 update, so the question is moot anyway, right?

Because the PC had to wait a couple years to get all of it updates. Would it really be fair to the loyal fans of the game if you had to wait 2 years for something the Xbox got on its release. And lets be realistic here. Theres no point in holding back PC updates for months so that the Xbox version can stay on the same version. Thats being just plain unproductive.

Yea, plus the sooner the better with updates and no one would play vanilla if they'd waited that long.

The only reason I play MC on the 360 is because my PC won't. I don't want to play a game that is constantly trying to sell me things.
The minecraft group would make their own version of the mods and they would get a bunch of money from it. I think they'd do it.
I have 1.8 doing 10 to 12 pistons fine seems to handle them fine for me and hidden door ways as well

What just like mojang did...oh wait they hired someone else to do it for them.
