I've played minecraft since the Alpha version. Don't talk to me like I'm a newbie. I've been around before there was a nether. When was the nether added to the game? October 4th 2010. Today is October 6th 2012. Well what do you know, thats 2 years. I think I've earned the right to say that I've never found the game lacking throughout 2 years of playing. Thank you very much!
Look I'm all for arguing darth but calling an Original minecrafter a noob come on man.

Ok iv watched a lot of tekkit videos ( mostly tekkit with Duncan yogscast) on YouTube but I play more minecraft Xbox 360 version just because I think that the feel is a bit more quicker and I have a lot more control over what I'm doing. So I have thought about it and decided that I would shell out 20 dollars or more for a tekkit expansion pack for the Xbox 360 version.think about it...sooo many pipes and factories and destruction catalyst...sooo much cool stuff is in tekkit and I think that it would be absolutely amazing to have that option in the Xbox 360 version.and another thing....I find it very boring to dig for the same things over and over (coal, iron, gold, lapis lazul, and diamonds) and with tekkit you would have all sorts of items to dig for....and also I have the computer version in case anyone was wondering that
I love to watch simon and lewis play tekkit but duncan also plays with them so it is basically the same. They always have me laughing.
The problem is that Tekkit isn't a mod. Tekkit is an expansion pack to minecraft from multiple mods all put together so if you want tekkit for xbox 360 your gunna have to talk to the modder's and they are the people who can do the modding.
In other words dont ask for Tekkit ask for Buildcraft, equivalent exchange, Industrial Craft 2 and Red-power. And If you wanna get there attention don't say you'll pay them 20$ tell them you would pay them 20$ and you can gerentee that many other people would contribute.

Again, Just be happy with what you have. The Xbox version of minecraft has endless possibilities. With your new update you should all stay quiet for atleast a month. Enjoy what you have. You don't need mods like Buildcraft to make minecraft great! Explore minecraft and all of its possibilities and stop asking for unreasonable things. Get your actual updates before you start asking for the world.
honestly guys.. i have hardly any money.. and I would pay $20 for DLC similar to tekkit mod pack.
There is nothing quite like sitting on a couch or bed, playing on a big screen with a controller.
Also Tekkit makes you feel like an engineer, you have to really try and solve problems.. and harness efficiency.
It's really something, I've been blown away by Tekkit.. my pc can't run it so well, but I watch all the Yogscast videos.
I would pay atleast $20 for it. I think it's worth it. I want 4J studios to know this.. Most of us want it, and it can be done..
Perhaps 4J studios can make something similar and be inspired by the tekkit pack. One thing I would not want, is just 1 or 2 added things. If you go for it, go all in. Get as much in as you can.. test for bugs and sell it.. I know a sluth of people that would pay it right away.. Tekkit just does what Minecraft does, but put's puzzles, science, and problem solving to the surface. I love it!
I would pay 5$ right away for tekkit.
No doubt about it, but first, i want to see what they do first, BUT, if it's that mod hat lets you create your own skins, ore, mobs, ect. i would pay 5$.

First of all, the way you format your text is completely unnecessary.
Anyway, the mods don't really belong to those people, since they're alterations of Mojang scripts. That's why modders don't charge, they would kind of be sued... pretty hard. Also, an expansion pack is pretty much a large-scale mod. Add-ons, skins, texture packs, expansion packs, and DLC are all mods in essence.
By the way, you forgot the most epic mod to come with Tekkit... Computer Craft. And they have RedPower 2 now. Just sayin'...

Well, I would probably be using RedPower more, honestly, since I'm a hardware kind of guy. But as for the most impressive mod in Tekkit, Computer Craft takes the cake.
ALL of the cake...........
It's more of a programmers' mod, really. It comes with real working computers, complete with an OS and their own high-level programming language. It's great for people who want a computer in Minecraft, but don't to build one that's bigger than most mansions, like mine. It's also much faster than a redstone computer, obviously, and much more handy and easier to use.
Did I mention that this mod also includes ROBOTS?! That's right, freakin' bots, man. They're also programmable and can be used for mining, digging, blah blah blah, trivial stuff. However... they're much more powerful than that. My friend, RevolutionalRedStone, has programmed bots that can actually take control over parts of a full-size redstone computer! He's using them to debug his new X699 CPU as it's being constructed. Pretty amazing, huh?

Hell yea, so it be easy for someone to program them to defend a specified area.

I'm not sure if there are actually any offensive/defensive bots. I do know they have collision detection though, so they may be able to detect players as well. But yeah, they would be much easier to program once you take a little time to learn the Lua programming language.
Didn't the Yogscast get into trouble for making Tekkit in the first place? I thought they didn't get permission from all the original mod creators to put Tekkit together.

Considering one of the mods in Technic is called "Yogbox" and the amount of publicity I dont think the creators of the Technic packs minded too much x3
Being a huge fan of Tekkit, I'd pay $20 for it. And about copyright issues, I feel 4J would spend a reasonable sum of money for a popular mod, given how quickly MCXBLA sold, and how much it sells on a monthly basis. Even if they had to buy a lot of mods like Flan's Mod, Aether, Yogbox, and Hack Slash Mine, they would definatly make money due to the popularity of the mods. Just my 2 cents, though.

Gold is rarer then Iron, but Gold can't mine as fast!
You can't explain that!
I'm not entirely sure mods are even feasible right now on the Xbox, not so much because the hardware can't handle it, but more so because mods and mindcraft on pc is written in java, where as 4j studios had to port it and convert it to c++ on the xbox.
In order for this to happen 4j studios would need to take given mod(s) source code and convert it to C++, given whatever API they have developed. Many of those mod use forge and that too would need to be converted.
Now I'm no modder but each release that occurs mods, including the forge needs to undergo a bunch of changes to conform to the new API, that being said and that 4j studios still has what 6 major releases to catch up to the PC, I kinda doubt that they are looking at handling mods yet.
Personally I'd be happy with a cheap 5$ pack of new blocks, marble, dirt that don't change to grass, stuff like that. But I'd much rather have the upcoming versions with upside down stairs and slabs different colors of planks, of course texture packs would be nice.
Anyhow point is if your looking to pay for new dlc, I think a block pack would be more the way to shoot for, but that's just my thoughts.
As for which mod(s) i'd prefer to see on the xbox, defiantly number 1 is too many items, and number 2 is either buildcraft or redpower.
OK, yes it is good to hope but it is also good to be realistic. So everyone needs to stop doggin on each other for having hopes or for being realistic. I for one don't believe that we will ever get Tekkit, but I'll still hope that at some point we get some kinds of mods.

I saw that too. I have every version of Minecraft except PC.
Yeah, what's up with blue flowers?

Retired StaffFrom what I hear, some mobile devices can't handle red flowers. Not sure for what reason, that's just what I heard.
