4J could make tekkit, but it would take about 1 or maybe even 2 years to finish it off,i think its worth waiting it actually, im not a fan of yogscast or anything, i seen tekkit myself, played it and its really fun, Minecraft vanilla:
You can start off with doing a house, after you're done with that you can go mining, you found diamonds!, you make yourself a full set of diamond armor and a sword, you keep killing enderman for their pearls, you go to the nether for blaze rods and make the rods into powder, you make ender eyes, you go to the end you beat the ender dragon, you log off, press the delete button.
Finish in - about: 10 days (if you play 8-10 hours per day)
15 days (if you play 5-8 hours per day)
25 days (if you play 3-5 hours per day)
Minecraft tekkit:

Your saying people are going to be playing on a single world because there is replayability in the form of monitering you machines to make sure they don't malfunction. Really? I understand your point but you could go get the stuff while your machines do it also theoretically you could play normal minecraft in a tekkit server.

It would take too long to add all of tekkit. I would bee happy if they added quarries, pipes and something similar to equivalent exchange. That would be the main stuff I would want. But, I want them to add exclusive content that is not available on the PC. I want them to add something different, and not just mods for the PC version. 4J, just add something new and I will be happy.

I've played minecraft since the Alpha version. Don't talk to me like I'm a newbie. I've been around before there was a nether. When was the nether added to the game? October 4th 2010. Today is October 6th 2012. Well what do you know, thats 2 years. I think I've earned the right to say that I've never found the game lacking throughout 2 years of playing. Thank you very much!
