Why would you get attached to an item? And mobs of any kind, nahh. Having a pack of wolves for protection can be a good idea though, just leave them at home when building. They get in the way CONSTANTLY!
When we get enchantments I might become attached to an item, but until then, no.
Was just about to say this. Once enchanting comes out, I am sure I will get attached to an awesome pickaxe. Until then, I get attached to nothing in the game.
I don't get attached to my items because I usually have the supplies to make more. As others have mentioned, it would be easier to become attached once we can enchant items.
I would probably become somewhat attached to a dog though. I just like animals and have a few dogs at home (not in Minecraft), so I would even be a little sad if something bad happened to my dog in Minecraft. It sounds stupid, but I guess it's just easier to become attached to a pet or something when you actually own pets.

When we get enchanting priests can enchant items AND repair them fully in one shot in exchange for emeralds. It's literally not known by the public if the repairing is a glitch or not, but if it's implemented on the 360 then we could indefinitely repair items.
THEN we can become attached indeed.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
If anyone wants to play Bauldur's Gate (1, 2, or enhanced) or Icewind Dale PLEASE PM me. I'd like to play.
Me too and my diamond pick axe but never any mobs. I definitely thought there'd be alot more people voting yes on the attachment to mobs especially w/all the slime threads lately. Pretty surprised about that

Retired StaffI made it prettier 'cause I'm a perfectionist! =D
To me, items are items. That's it.
