Ok I have searched the net and all that. Here is my situation with the question at the end.
My friend and I are are attempting to build a Roman colosseum. It's massive and requiring much more work then originally anticipated. The original idea was to layout the area floor and then build the frame work up and out. Currently the floor, seating area and parts of the outer wall are built. We haven't even gotten to the 3 floors with gladiator rooms and basement complex. Anyway. Our idea was to make obsidian walls and floor with different sections of the floor being different elements like dirt for a jungle environment, nether rock for a fire area, soul sand with special weapons area etc. anyway we want to be able to flood the arena floor to change the environment for those fighting etc. so I built piston trap doors in the sides of the wall all the way round only to find that with all the water on with one switch the water doesn't reach the middle of the area floor. There's a irregular space of 5-10 spaces. Which means I can make the area floor smaller which would suck but just might need to. Or somehow have wate appear from the middle. Now I have spent much time trying to get water to popup from the floor but it's seems beyond me. I can take pic and post but that I also am not sure how to do. Anyway can someone help direct me to a website or YouTube or even instructions if this is possible. I wanted to have a switch to bring lava in but that turned out to be a baddddd idea as it doesn't disappear fast enough. I hope I explained my situation clearly but I can answer questions opif need be.
The piston contraption I thought would work was two part one to move the block in the floor from below (which worked fine) and a second one to move a block with water on it. That part didn't work. I am starting to think your can't push move water. But this is minecraft and we can do anything, so suggestion. I thought of water from the open canary ceiling but that would leave a water fall thus ruining the illusion.
Not possible, you can make it drop from... Per say a small little block in the clouds...?

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
