I was thinking, much like in the Halo series, there should be a feature in which you have your own MC profile, which is capable of containing you own custom maps, which other people can download.
This would be swell with lazy people who want to play on great maps Minecraft-related or IRL stuff (Bikini Bottom, Dubai, etc.)
Plus the maker of the maps can get popular, maybe implement some sort of rating system?

This has been thought of many times. The only thing is 4J needs somewhere to store all the worlds people upload. I could be wrong, but I am assuming world file sizes are larger than Halo custom map file sizes. You get 3 million+ people uploading and downloading 17+ MB files that requires a lot of space and can get expensive. It is also possible the rules are different for XBLA games.
Each profile could have a limit on the amount they could store to the online profile. Plus why not go with a "cloud world" which can be opened and changed by anyone who has access to that world?

"If its a mod its possible to be a feature"
I've seen this idea passed around a bit on these forums. Besides myself, you're the only one I've seen mention a rating system though, which is a brilliant idea. I think they should have a map sharing system exactly like in TotalMiner, with maybe one addition, permissions. Maybe taking away the ability to destroy certain types of blocks, etc. it would be great for players who want to build adventure maps.
Just wait until creative mode comes out, demand for this will likely become overwhleming. People think the Halo Forge map sharing is huge? With a similar means of sharing maps, Minecraft would top the activity charts for a long time to come. I agree, 4J needs to implement map sharing somehow.

I'm not on here very often, I was before release date, though I've been busy recently, sorry if this was redundant, I didn't know.
And the rating system would let people know which maps are actually worth spending their time with.

Yes, it would.

Best thing to do, if possible. When someone joins your world they will create a new world on there side using the seed from your world & name, then it's only a matter of syncing the chunk updates, the game does this already, but when the host saves it only saves at his end, why not make it save at the joiners end to to update there world.
So jimmy joins Derek's work, with a seed of "test" & world name of "maw world!"
Now jimmy's MCX would create a new world using that information, when he's joing for the first time (he doesn't mind waiting) after wards if Derek has been doing some world, the game would only save the changes to jimmy's world if derek saved his world.

Any ways, just an idea, feedback is appreciated.

Retired StaffHow am I supposed to make it happen? It's a suggestion.
If you tried to make yourself look superior, you failed. Hard.
"If its a mod its possible to be a feature"
How am I making myself superior. I called you smart and said it was a good idea, you took it wrong. If anything that makes you superior
probably the best i've read in these forums.
"Smarty guy" isn't really a compliment, people usually say that and intend sarcasm, if you actually being genuine, thanks.
You may want to think about how you respond, if you want a person to have the right attitude towards your post.
Fine, and I apologize for saying that, but it's not all my fault.

Retired StaffCan you in any way forward this suggestion to any one in the MC staff?
I don't expect it from a mod, but it can't hurt to ask.
I can take some blame for my interpretation, but you could've picked a different remark.
