I was about to join my friends world earlier, whom is on my friends list. So it really should not matter about the "allow friends of friends" Tab. Whenever I try and load into his game, it says "Cannot join because you are not friends with anyone in the game." We even tried un-friending and re-freinding, and it did not work. Any ideas to why?

I'm having the same issue. Tried everything listed here. Restart, clear cache, refriending. Nothing works. I can join his games, but he can't join any of mine anymore. Please help. This is the only contact I can have with my son

Go into your worlds and check to see that the "online game" box is still checked. It may be that that you've been hit with the infamous "reset bug" (where the game has arbitrarily changed some of your settings). It usually hits the controls or graphics settings, but more widespread changes can more rarely happen. You can clear everything that might be wrong by going to "Help & Options" - "Settings" - "Reset to Defaults" and then reset your own preferences from there.
Have you cleared your cache on your xbox ?

Nope. I fixed the issue, I just restarted my xbox. Sorry for the inconvenience guys.

I am having the same problem. I can never join my friends worlds and have tried all of this.
