I thought I didn't care about skin packs, then they came out, I downloaded the free ones and immediately paid for the full version. No complaints here.
See this is one of those things that annoys me when nothing else will.
A) 4J is the one making them. They cant work for free. Expecting them to work for free is greedy and ignorant. They have lives and need to be paid at some point. And yea, they made a lot of money on the first day but all that money will dry out eventually and they need to make more. That and on the PC you make your own so you dont have to pay anyone for YOUR work.
It's ONLY 2 dollars. 2 God damned dollars. 2 measily little **** ant dollars. If you dont want to fcking spend 2 bloody dollars then dont spend the 2 dollars. But come the hell on, it's only 2 dollars. You get a crap ton of other **** for free.

LOL you tried to put B ) but it ended up being a face X). But very valid points. I don't see how 2 dollars isn't worth it. That means that each skin is about 5 cents each. Maybe less if there are more than 40 skins (didn't count)

I personally don't think it is worth it. I'm not complaining about it, I just don't feel the need to spend $2 on it. For me it just doesn't add anything to the gameplay. Not to mention 90% I would just be seeing my fist. But I am also not going to insult people for buying it. If others think it is worth it for them, that is no problem for me. I will be happy with my free skins (though to be honest I love rocking tuxedo Steve).
Edit: I should also add that even though I don't think it is worth it to me, I don't think it is a rip-off.

I agree. It is the same idea of why people buy costumes on games like street fighter. Some people think it is a rip off, some don't. I personally think those costumes are very overpriced compared to these, but I will not insult someone for not buying it. I will argue with someone who says one of the cheapest dlc's I have ever seen for a game asks for it for free

No, they made all the skins. Herobrine isn't difficult, just color the default skin's eyes white. Ccopy/paste is too much effort for that.
Skins are not going to be free, and 4J is completely justified for charging for them, people arguing this really need to get over themselves. I'm sorry, but it's true. The sense of entitlement to free skins people feel is offensive.

Which can then be used on something else or even saved for the next skin DLC. It's still only 5 dollars. You can make $5 picking change up off the ground.

I'm here to voice my opinion. Now, I've played PC Minecraft ever since the early days when it came out, but that doesn't mean I'm not stuck to it, I play Xbox Minecraft every once in a while. Now, to the point, in PC version, you can make your own skin, upload it, boom, you have a fancy new skin attached to you, for FREE. Now for Xbox, you get default skins, of course, (don't know if still going on) you can get summer skins for free, but those are only skins for free, rest of it, you have to pay. Now, to me, that's not right, since you can get it free PC and pay for Xbox... I know 4JStudios tweeted, "Possibly much later on, but there are issues with doing that on the Xbox that get lawyers all excited." I'm no expert on this kinda stuff, but this has nothing to do with lawyers, or would cause anything to have happen with lawyers. Now, with Microsoft, not sure, since things may have to go through them first, but I don't think that'd matter. I don't know, voice your opinions on here... I know there's gonna be a few rages, so let at it.

I didn't buy them and I'm still having fun w/the game. The skins are just cosmetic and it doesn't make the game anymore fun imo. Yeah, I used Bing rewards, and I got the skins for free, and have 160 points I plan on using for the next ones. I think Bing rewards is US only though, but I could be wrong.
I'm talking about SOA and Trial skin pack 1.
They both have nice skins, but the skins you have to pay for are pretty lame.

That is an opinion. I love walking around as halo chief and just plain have thing variety for different situation my friends and I want to portray.
