I never lost lightning or the thunder. The thunder constantly makes my friends think someone got some TNT and is blowing our stuff up. LOL
In fact, lightning struck next to me yesterday. Working on my elevated rail network. Not only did the thunder make me jump it was so loud... but I also saw LAVA for a brief instant where the lightning hit the stone railway platform. Maybe that's how it works or maybe it was a glitch. It happened so fast I had to ask myself "did I really just see that over there?" But I'm sure I saw lava for a moment where it hit. Didn't do any damage to blocks tho.
