am i correct in assuming that the next update will put the cloud level above the max building height? and also, i thought i saw something that said one of the updates made it so leaves don't need to be next to wood to stay put, is that true and will it come to xbox any time soon?
i'm building a rather large tree house/structure/whatever
and can we please get some diamond sheers? i'm going through whole stacks of iron just from gathering leaves.
I agree, even tho we can build up to y=127?... I generally don't go higher than y=102 because the clouds are at y=106 or so and I hate when clouds go thru mountains and go thru buildings and you can't see.
So I can't use the top 25 layers in my worlds. And I love to build up high because I do elevated rail networks up there.
It's very annoying to have a 25-block-tall area that is useless. I can't wait til they move the clouds out of range.
I understand your pain with building up near the world limit; however, there is just something really, really cool about standing on top of your highest mountain and having a cloud roll in to obscure your view. I would hate if they move clouds up above the maximum height limit.

I know it's not a 4J bug but a Mojang bug that 4J is faithfully copying...
...but damn it, how easy would it be to prevent clouds from going THRU a mountain or THRU a house?
We have a base hollowed out from the tallest mountain in one of the worlds I play on... and so the clouds go right thru the outside of the mountain and show up INSIDE the mountain, even tho it's fully enclosed.
The cloud mechanics have always been ridiculous, but since Mojang didn't fix this issue for a long time, that means 4J won't fix it for a long time either.
My immegration center is going up above the clouds so you really can't see it unless you just spawned into it.I also like that it doesnt effect the world at all since you really cant see it and i'll be the only one with the way up.
Our 1.8.2 update contains both of the things you want. In our next update, clouds will be moved above the build limit and player placed leaf blocks will no longer decay, even if they aren't near wood.
Just so people could see it sine apparently most people skip reading the posts before replying.
If I'm not mistaken, a future update does move the cloud maximum height up. I can't wait for this because I am not a fan of them going through my castle.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Aggravating.
