We have extremely little information on texture packs at the current time. It's impossible to predict right now. The Xbox should be able to handle them (many people on here make the Xbox sound like it's not capable of anything more than a game of Minesweeper; I have no clue why) so it may be a possibility. We have to play the waiting game.

Ok fair enough. I can be patient. Thanks for the information
To be honest, the Xbox doesn't really need an HD texture pack. It already looks better than what most would consider "Medium" graphics settings on the PC, and it runs better than most can get on the PC. If there's an HD texture pack, I won't complain, but it certainly shouldn't be the most highly-demanded on the list of things we want.

If I am going to pay money for a texture pack, I want it to be hd :|

4j studios did mention that they were hoping to release texture packs around the same time xbla updates for 1.8, which they said will be anywhere from the beginning of August to the end of September, although not much else is known. Resolution is unknown, but the Xbox 360 can support HD if the tv has an HDMI cable or just has HD. From this, we can assume that texture pack resolutions will vary, and HD resolution texture packs will require an HD TV or an HDMI cable. It is also unknown how they will choose what texture packs to use. My guess is they will be the most popular texture packs from PC MInecraft, or they will be generically and simple category named texture packs, e.g., a Medieval Texture Pack, a Simple Texture Pack, a Realistic Texture Pack, etc.
I hope, but I doubt. I would really like to see them added to the game. The Xbox could quite easily handle them, but the fact that we have very little information implies that (HD) texture packs are low on the priority list. Extra sexiness is always appreciated, though :3
I think that may be the only thing we do know for sure: texture packs are on the back-burner and are definitely going to take a backseat to updates at the current time. I do look forward to said sexiness, however

For some reason I find it odd that people are so excited about HD texture packs for a game in which you can actually see individual pixels.
It still is a ton better. When I first heard about texture packs being in HD for pc, I had the same odd feeling you had
