I have it so that the signal goes left and right from the lever at the front of the room, unil it goes all the way around and meets at the back. (the front of the room is to the right in the pic) If I go up and put redstone torches so that only the first half of the pistons go up, collect the first half, then remove the redstone torches and collect the second half, then I get all the wheat. But if I just flood the entire thing at once the wheat from the front wall of the room will dissapear. Can anyone tell me why it does this?
So you're asking why does some of your wheat disappear when you harvest it? It's because the Xbox version will only allow a certain amount of items (not sure how much) to be on the ground before they start to disappear.
Didn't think it could be that because I've seen vids of much bigger ones, keep forgetting most of the vids are from the pc version.
Thanks for the answer.

Thinking I saw a 200 item limit posted somewhere which is literally less then 4 stacks. I could be wrong but just tossing it out there.
My wheat farm is flushed with water, and out of 64 planted squares I only get in the 40ish range for actual wheat collection, but usually around 60 seeds. I heard the item limit was 200, but I think in these cases it is actually less. Unless items are getting "stuck" somewhere? I haven't figured out the real problem with mine, I just accepted less than 100% results and moved on to another project.
Thx for the 200 limit info. I went back and split the pistons between 3 levers, so I should have no issues now. I wonder if they'll increase that at some point, I hope so.
Well from my own experience I've broken a full double chest of items (thats stackable dirt or sand so your looking at 3456 blocks) and its only after breaking a second double chest that anything from the first disappears. My own wheat farm (no other farmable resource involved) produces 240 wheat "blocks" once its been harvested. Only once did I see spaces but that was because I caught a pig wondering aimlessly through the dam thing. After that I've always made some sort of glass based "greenhouse".
Someone would have to confirm this but i believe dropping an entire stack of an item (the three block icon) counts as one drop. Graphic wise, it's about the number of floating icons allowed to be represented on screen at one time and not how much they are worth. But that's just a theory.

The reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

I will second this (third?). I made a video about it, and actually tested it. The item drop limit is exactly 200.
What a shame.
