A bug fix is coming in a week. Nobody knows when 1.8.2 is coming out. Anything anyone says is a complete guess, nothing more. Creative Mode is part of 1.8.2, and is free.
Less than a week is the bug fix, not 1.8.2 , that is undetermined at this point, probably a month or more away at least though.
