Or how about a permissions list of friends that you approve to enter your world so you dont have to invite all the time!
And how about redstone becoming part of the block you lay it on! Like when you lay it down it changes the texture of the block so it looks like it has wires going into it on all 6 sides instead of 4! Would make it easier to hide so you dont have wasted empty space!

Glass Half Slabs Or the Microblocks from Redpower where you can get different sized blocks. Also sideways half slabs :)Also Enchantable Blocks. I.E. Furnace Speed 1 or Fortune. Same with Brewing stands other things like that.

On a serious note I'd like a new mob. Something xbox only when 4J head off in their own direction.
Something like Kryll. Swoop on you in the night when you step into dark areas below a light level.
But I love the lantern idea and the bicycle (even with awesome square wheels) idea reminds me of pokemon so much.

Honestly, a new mob would be pretty exciting!

With all due respect, your font is difficult to read due to size.
I gotta say, I've really enjoyed reading all the posts. Some good ideas in here.
My suggestion would be Redstone that can connect to walls, so you can have wires going up/across walls and ceilings.

It'd make wiring more easier and more fun. Less intensive problem solving, lol.
I think I saw a mod where you could do so AND create one block latches/switches like a Flip-flop, And gate, Or gates, etc.
